Change Management (Process)

With the increasing amount of written information we all have to digest these days here is a quick process for understanding the key messages of a piece of writing.

  • Read the first paragraph – this should introduce the subject.
  • Read the last paragraph – this should provide conclusions.
  • Read the first sentence of each paragraph between the first and last paragraphs – this should provide you with the key messages.
  • Use a highlighter to highlight specific facts and figures.
  • Finally read the whole document if you think it necessary.
